Adaptively Abled, 501©3 that provides support, social activities, education, fitness and wellness for persons with physical disabilities
"Nicole is the most knowledgeable, talented, dedicated, empathetic, and motivating coach I have ever had the privilege of working and training with. I met Nicole two years ago when she was one of the first volunteer coaches for Adaptively Abled Fitness, a comprehensive adaptive functional fitness and wellness program for persons with disabilities that I founded through my nonprofit Adaptively Abled.
When I first met Nicole, I was blown away by her knowledge, passion, extensive coaching and nonprofit background, positivity, and passion she brought to every single program session. Over the course of six weeks Nicole helped one of our adaptive athletes with cerebral palsy improved her overall strength, mobility, functional movement patterns, coordination, and overall fitness.
Nicole was a division 1 collegiate swimmer at Loyola and drew upon her years of experience to formulate and executive hand tailored workouts which assisted this adaptive swimmer achieve her personal best competition times post program. I saw what an incredible coach and asset Nicole was to Adaptively Abled and asked her to share another one of her talents as the curator of our social media, website, and newsletters. Nicole helped the organization expand our reach and grow our following and network exponentially.
When we returned to in-person programming post global pandemic, Nicole stepped in as the program’s Head Coach and lead programmer. I could always count on Nicole to provide challenging, safe, and engaging programs and workouts that were individually adapted to each athletes’ ability level.
Nicole helped each one of our athletes surpass their self-perceived limitations to achieve their fitness and wellness goals. Every time Nicole walks into the gym, she brings the energy and lifts up those around her. Adaptively Abled would not have grown to be the reputable program it is with out the help and passion of Nicole. Adaptively Abled is honored to continue her legacy here on the east coast while she continues to help our programs expand from coast to coast and beyond."
